Essays also sometimes begin with an issue, outline the scope and then move on to end the introduction with the thesis statement. Sometimes an essay will begin with a direct quote to draw readers into the essay. Scope â€" where you outline what exactly is going to be covered in relation to your argument. You can then add examples and references to make your paragraph stronger. Note the narrow focus of medical benefits (i.e. only considering magnesium) due to the short length of the essay. Your paragraphs should link together â€" use connective words, both within and between paragraphs, to keep a sense of cohesion and linkage. If you don’t know enough about your topic, Wikipedia can be a great resource to quickly learn everything you need to know to get started. If you focus on how, you’ll always have enough to write about. I can’t guarantee you’ll get a higher grade , but I can absolutely promise you’ll have a lot more fun writing. You’re trying to get an A instead of writing something that’s actually good. You’re trying to write something your teacher or professor will like. These essay questions often require you to structure your answer in several parts. An example may be to ask you to investigate a problem and explore a range of solutions. You may also be asked to choose the best solution and justify your selection, allow space for this in your essay. The most logical way to approach a multi-part assignment is to address each part of the task in the order that it is stated on the assignment task sheet.
